WELCOME

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. (Matthew 5:9)

My beloved Brothers and Sisters in Jesus Christ,

Praise be to the most gracious God. My Love and blessings to all the members of the Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio, Peace Makers of Christo, our Partners, and beneficiaries. With immense joy, I dedicate PMC to the Most Holy God and Our Lady of Peace. I thank the Almighty God for choosing the humble me as an instrument to found PMC. Jesus Christ our Lord has been blessing PMC with many dedicated vocations. With the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the prayer support of Our Lady of Peace, PMC is spreading the peace of Christ to most unreached parts of the world.

God blessed me with a very pious and loving family. My parents and grandma formed me as a sincere, obedient, dedicated, and hardworking child of God. As I was a messenger of peace among my siblings, my father used to call me a man of Zereda (Peace)'. Rev. Fr. Edbredy, a Jesuit priest inspired me with the concepts of Justice and Peace. The death of hundreds of parents by violence, and the deprival of the bright future of their abandoned children wounded me very deeply. I felt the call of the Spirit of the Lord in me to preach the good news to the poor, to heal the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recover sight to the blind, and to set at liberty those who are oppressed.

The seed of peace, God planted in me has grown into PMC today. Today the whole world is filled with violence and is yearning for peace. Peace is not only possible but inevitable. Peace is possible only when there is Justice. Justice necessitates equality and liberty. Peace is not only the absence of conflict but also the presence of human flourishing which incorporates forgiveness, love, care, harmony, beauty, unity, virtue, safety, security, and justice.

Jesus, the Prince of Peace only can give us the peace that the world cannot give or take away. My dear Peace Makers of Christo, you are my extended heart and ambassadors. I trust in you and send you into the world to spread the message of Peace. I also warmly appeal to all the people of God, unless and until you have peace within you, you cannot give it to others. Therefore I urge you to make the peace of Christ your own, cherish it, and share it with others.

I impart my episcopal blessings, humble prayers, and best wishes for your ministry.

Yours to the Lord

+ Most. Rev. Dr. Barani Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala
